When we have a problem with the pests in our house?

  • When the climate is changing between the different periods during the year – one type of pests appear in the summer, such as mosquitos and flies; others appear in the winter, such as rats, mice, cockroaches.
  • When no measures have been taken to restrict the access to the courtyard of homeless animals (like dogs and cats) or reptiles (like snakes and lizards), fleas or ticks may also appear
  • When there are stagnant waters or tree hollows nearby (mosquito larvae)
  • When there is compost nearby
  • When a cesspit has not been packed tight (flies’ larvae)
  • When there are flowers, fruit trees or vines nearby (wasps and hornets)
  • When there is a swimming pool around (wasps and hornets)
  • When the drainage or the plumbing system is not kept clean
  • When spider webs are not removed (spiders)
  •  When garbage bins without tightly closed lids are used
  • In cases of irregular cleaning of scraps or other waste
  • When foodstuff is left at places which can be easily accessed by pests
  • When food infected by pests like cockroaches, ants or moths is brought into the house
  • When wood, furniture or clothes infected by woodworms, bed-bugs, clothes-moths or mites are brought into the house
  • In cases of bad hygiene within the house
  • When the windows and doors are not protected by mosquito nets against mosquitos and flies
  • When the heating, drainage, plumbing or electrical network in the house has not been made tight
  • When the house is under repairs and/or when furniture is changed

What measures should we take when we have pests in our house?

  • We may approach a company specialized in pest control (Pest Control Company), which has the respective permits to perform such services
  • An inspection all over the house should be made by a specialist from the Pest Control Company with a view to identify the potential problems in the fight against pests
  • The places where pets rest or sleep should be treated with the appropriate detergent
  • When an overall pest treatment is conducted, the process should start from the attic and finish in the cellar (cockroaches, ants, bed-bugs, mosquitos)
  • In areas of high pest density the place should be periodically treated depending on the type of the pests

What is important to know before the treatment in our house?

  • Small children and pets should not be present during the treatment
  • Foodstuff should be removed from the cupboards
  • Open access to the fridge, stove and other electrical appliances in the house should be given (cockroaches, ants, bed-bugs, mosquitos)
  • Тhe treated areas should not be rinsed for at least 48 hours
  • The poisonous food baits for rats and mice should not touched or replaced
